Joyce Allred: Missions Changed My Life

At 79 years old, Joyce could’ve easily said her time for adventure had passed—but instead, she leaned into a bold new step of faith. After taking an Explore class that stirred something deep in her heart, she found herself asking, “What’s my excuse?” That simple question opened the door to something extraordinary.

Joyce signed up for her very first mission trip, and what she thought would be a one-time experience quickly became a defining moment in her life. Surrounded by a different culture, new faces, and tangible opportunities to share the love of Jesus, Joyce’s heart was profoundly marked. She saw firsthand the impact of serving others and being part of God's work around the world—and she knew she wanted more.

Now, Joyce has a renewed passion for missions. Her age isn't a limitation; it's a testimony. She’s proof that it’s never too late to step into your purpose and that God can use anyone who is willing to say yes.
